Count it All Joy

We as humans are always faced with troublesome times, disappointments, pain, and utter let downs in our life. But as Christians, aren’t we supposed to be living the good, high live that is sorrow free? No. In all honesty, living the christian life is harder than being a non-christian, but you must understand there is a reason for this- sort of.
God puts us through tough times in our lives for 2 reasons: 1) to test our strength and remind us to rely on him 2) to use our trials and poor circumstances to further our witness to others. Often times we get so down on ourselves and turn our backs from God, but it is in those times that we truly need to seek Him the most. Think about it this way, God gives us harder circumstances because He wants to show his strength to the other people that we come into contact with. The bible tells us that God is in total control and even the devil himself has to ask God to do something bad to us (see the story of Job for further insight).
Therefore, God allows you to go through a job less, financial difficulty, failed relationship, or bad family situation to show his awesome power in your life to you and to others. God is a proud Father of His children, you and I, so He loves to show us off. God is putting you through a tough season in your life to be able to show the non-believers in your life that even in the worst of circumstances you are counting it all joy because you completely and utterly trust God 110%.
So remember this next time something bad happens, don’t get mad or sad the instant the circumstances come upon your life. Instead, look for ways to continually praise God for the things He HAS provided you with in your life in this difficult season because you never know who may be watching your every move to see how you react. God wants to prepare you, not punish you, for what He has in store for another season in your life upcoming. All you have to do is wait, God loves patience! Hang in there!
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. -James 1:2-4
