Love Doctor (Pt. 1)

Whether you’re 55 and married or barely even in college, our greatest need in our life is love. I am going to spend sometime this week doing a series of blogs called “love doctor”

Today, you’re going for a visit to the Doctor. Your symptoms: feeling unworthy, dirty, and lost

However old you are, whatever your situation is, your relationship status, or role in society…We all want to feel loved. We want to belong to something greater than ourselves, want to feel needed in this world, feel a sense of belonging, and like we are special in someones eyes.

Here’s the thing, I know you feel broken right now. I know you feel defeated, like nobody could ever think you’re attractive or special, but that is the biggest lie from the enemy of this world. Each and every human being, including you, was created in God’s own image. Just because you gave away your purity doesn’t mean you need to keep running away from God, that you should keep sleeping with him because it’s too late to save your purity. Every single one of us is dirty and it is never too late to come to Christ and let him purify our heart and mind.

Here’s the thing, it’s time for you to come home. It’s time for your to stop running away and start running from the very thing you’re running to. It is never too late to come back to Christ, to feel empowered and called to something more. You don’t know where to start, it’s all so scary and intimidating because you feel like everyone is going to judge you – well, you’re right because they are. However, Jesus promised us that if we are ever to have to suffer for Him than it will all be worth it. It doesn’t matter what path you’ve been on, but it’s about where you’re going.

Don’t let a single moment in your life define every moment from now on. Sure you let God down once, but we all did. We are all sinners and ALL fall short of the glory of God. See, a sin is a sin. Cursing under your breath is just as bad as going out and stealing something. Don’t feel ashamed of what you allowed to happen. Rather, put yourself in a place for God to show up and use your situation to make you stronger. We never learn anything when we win in life, our greatest knowledge and perspective comes from losing.

It’s not about our worthiness because we are all unworthy, but it’s about His worthiness. You aren’t able to hide anything from God. In fact, God wants to make you a stronger person in your situation. When you don’t know where to go, don’t know where to turn to because everyone has shut you out; run to the ultimate place of security and safety – the cross. When you don’t know where to go, go to the cross.

You are a child of The KIng, each and every one of you deserves the best. Don’t give up hope, even if your spouse isn’t acting the way you want him/her to. Sometimes God called you to marry them to point out that flaw in their life, sometimes God called you to be apart of their life to build them up in that area because He gifted you with patience and discernment. The perception is frustration, imperfection, and brokenness, but the reality is seeing God do the impossible for your relationship.

This series is going give you insight, like going to see the doctor for a solution, to everything you have been wondering about finding the right one, being loving, feeling love, and managing relationships. Enjoy.

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, -Romans 3:23

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. -Matthew 5:10-12

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
