Questioning God

10Moses said to the LORD, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”  11 The LORD said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the LORD? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” -Exodus 4:10-11

Sometimes in our life, God asks us to do things for the purpose of the kingdom. Sometimes in our life God requires us to do things that we don’t want to do. Sometimes God requires us to do things that we think are stupid and meaningless. And sometimes God asks us to do things that are so far against society, what our friends bef, and what we forsee as doable.

God will never ask you to do something that He isn’t willing to provide you with the means to accomplish. Take it from Moses in the verse I put at the top- He was even in the presence of God on the mountain and yet still doubted. They went on and on for several verses with God promising He would even provide Moses with supernatural abilities to priove that God had told him to go free his people.\

If God is calling you to do something, walk in the confidence that it is part of His plan and He already has it all worked out, the words He wants you to say, and the people wants you to speak to.

I see so many people unwilling to accomplish the task God is giving them because they are defeating themselves by looking at the end result, rather than focusing on just taking one small step.

We will never know how far Peter actually got when he was walking on water, but what we do know is that he had enough faith to trust Jesus just to get out of the boat and it wasn’t until he realized what he was doing was when he fell in. God is only asking you just to get out of the boat today, not to conquer the waves. God wants to conquer them for you, but is interested in seeing if you have enough faith just to get out of the boat and accomplish what He is asking of you.

Deuteronomy 11:8
Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess,
