It began long ago, when darkness, through its deceit captured the hearts of the sons and daughters of light. We looked for light but we found only darkness. We searched for bright skies but walked in gloom. We fumbled like the blind along the wall, feeling our way like people without eyes. We were destined to fall, even in the brightest days. We stumbled as if it were dark. Among the living, we were like the dead.
We looked for justice, but it never came. We looked for rescue but it was far from us. So He, Himself, stepped in to save us with his strong arm and justice to sustain Him. He put on righteousness as armor, salvation His helmet. He clothed Himself with the robe of vengeance and wrapped Himself in a cloak of divine passion. He slipped out of his royal garments, left eternity to enter time, divinity to wrap himself in humanity.
The sea of glass, for the ocean of separation. He left peace, and for the first time felt pain. Because the very hands that held the stars were now sentenced to wear my scars. It was love that purchased this traitor’s heart. It’s what the prophets spoke about when they envisioned light living in men once again.
For this reason, I AM LEGEND, predestined for greatness, built for the final hour. I was born for this with weapons in hand, armor in place. I now march to the beat of a different drum. I will break through battle lines that have been drawn by discouragement and despair.
What more is left to be said? Time has met its end. It’s now or never. Collision with me, myself, and I. You see my mission today is clear: to wake the dead. So let freedom’s song rage. You’re not abandoned. You’re not alone. Last day warriors arise from yesterday’s ash and raise your fist with us.
We are the army that is charging upon the land. Defeat is no longer and option! IT IS VICTORY.

All scars tell a story. Stories of wounds suffered, some of them outside and some of them inside. Our individual scars tell the story of our lives. But there are some scars that tell us a very different story…
A story that begins and ends with love. We were created to live and love our Creator, to be in His presence and enjoy His company. But love is a choice. And sometimes you choose to leave that relationship, wounding yourself with sin and separation from God.
It was a wound that would never heal, except by an unimaginable act of true love. Gods only beloved son, Jesus. took on your sin on the cross. Suffering the pain and consequence that we all should have gone through: death and separation from God forever.
But God made the ultimate sacrifice by giving up His one and only precious Son to die in our place to heal our scars and to take the place of our sin.
He was beaten beyond recognition, you wouldn’t even be able to tell if He was a human or not. Thick nails pierced through his hands and feed, blood gushing, and a crown of thorns dug deep into His forehead. The son of the Creator of the universe could have ended the pain and killed everyone watching Him die in the blink of the eye, but He didn’t. Jesus could have ended His pain, but instead endured the most excruciating death known in the history of man, suffering for hours on end, because He loved YOU.
And on the third day He rose and was resurrected in a perfect body except for one thing- his scars; the marks of sacrifice, the proof that He conquered and endured the cross for our sins.
All scars tell a story. Ours are stories of pain and brokenness, but Gods is a story of forgiveness and love. And for the rest of eternity, His scars are a story of his unending and perfect love for you.
8but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”” -John 11:25-26
Each and everyone of us has an appointed time, place, day, and means that we are all going to die. It doesn’t matter how much money you’ve made or how far you can try to run away, you are going to die and every single human being will go before God.
It doesn’t matter the age you are or the clothes you wear. Romans 14:8 says “If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” However I think it applies that if you aren’t living for the Lord, you are going to die to the devil.
If you truly think about it, it’s wild. You are going to die, everything that you ever lived for. cried over, purchased, and loved will not matter- the only thing that matters is what have you done for God.
“A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.” – Ecc 7:1
But for many it will be worse than anything they have ever experienced. The moment of realizing that all those crazy christians were right, God is real and you can’t relive your life. The moment you die you are going to be ushered into judgement before God and given a sentence of eternal life or eternal pain in hell.
“They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might” —2 Thessalonians 1:9
Can you imagine what it would feel like to be in a place completely separated from God- forever? Can you imagine the pain and guilt you would feel for not believing? Calling out, screaming out God’s name and asking for forgiveness and nothing would ever come to you- ever?
While Hell isn’t vividly described in the bible, bits and pieces are given to us:
- “fire cannot be quenched” – (Mk.9:48)
- “weeping / gnashing of teeth” – (Mt.25:30)
- ” tormented in this flame” – (Luke 16:24)
- “danger of hell fire” – (Matt 5:22)
As a christian you have one chance, one lifetime to make a difference. You have the opportunity to give God everything you’ve got and allow yourself to be used to help spread the good news that people don’t have to go to hell.
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” -John 14:6
If you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and died for your sins, then you have the green-light to start working for God right now. You never need to asks anyone else’s permission to do something for God, other than God himself. People are going to tell you it’s stupid, that someone else can do it, or that you can’t do it yourself. The clock is ticking and the time to rise up is now, we have got to make a difference in this world right now! No matter how old or how young you are, God wants to use you right now.

As Christians, we are loved by God because He first loved us (John 3:16) by giving His only Son. We are Loved.
As humans beings, we are always looking for someone or something to love. We are lovers of things bigger than ourselves, things that identify us to a greater group, cause, status, or feelings about ourself.
Did you know that you are loved by something bigger than yourself- bigger than everything on this entire planet? While this concept may be something you would read over because your past that in your walk with Christ, do you truly believe it?
Consider this verse:
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”–Romans 8:35-39
Nothing can separate you from being loved by Christ. Not the shame in being overweight, having a divorce, losing a job, or failing to wake-up this past sunday for church. Don’t allow yourself to fall into the all too popular trap of saying that no one could ever or will ever love you. The bible takes the time to explicitly state in that verse that nothing, not even our sinful and Godless past can separate us from the love Jesus has for us.
So now that you know you’re love, embrace being a lover. Embrace that fact that you are loved by the creator of this entire world and that He wants you to love him back.
“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” -1 John 4:9-10
God never wanted us to waste time earning His love- how could we? How could we even attempt to catch the attention and love of the creator of this entire universe? What would we possibly do to impress the being that made everything we know and love? That’s why He sent His Son, Jesus. Jesus died for our sins, so that we could embrace being love to show love to others and not have to waste our life away trying to earn our right into Heaven.
God would have never given up His only, precious Son if He didn’t have a purpose for you. God is calling you out of your ways, out of your feeling of abandonment into a life filled with love and care. A life filled with a purpose and blessings. All you have to do is embrace the love God has waiting for you.
